About Mohammed Adnan Imam
Mohammed Adnan Imam is a London-based entrepreneur who has numerous business ventures. He is the Managing Director of IPE Group, through which he’s made investments in real estate, private equity, outsourcing, technology, telecommunications and banking. Mr. Imam is a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA), a certification gained in 2000. He earned valuable knowledge and experience in finance and investment banking after working with Merrill Lynch Europe Plc early in his career.

Since 2008, Mohammed Adnan Imam has gained valuable leadership experience while leading several companies to success. He is the Managing Director of IPE Ventures Limited, the private equity arm of IPE Group which is focused on adding value to start-ups and turnaround businesses. The company has holdings in companies located in London and Dhaka, with the sectors involved including recruitment, real estate, financial technology, asset management, technology, traded equity portfolio, textiles and banking.
IPE Ventures is very active in Bangladesh’s start-up scene, having put its faith (and money) in ventures such as BD Venture, Genex Infosys, Swisspro and Cogent Bangladesh. IPE Ventures is regarded as a pioneer in start-up investments and its contributions have helped establish active businesses in the country.

When it comes to real estate, Mr. Imam functions as the Managing Director of IPE Developments, a property development and construction firm based in London. The company has been involved in numerous projects across the city, including the development of 800 units, half of which are located in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. IPE Developments has a portfolio value estimated at £250 million and has completed numerous projects in the city.
Through these two companies, Mohammed Adnan Imam has made significant investments in sectors and companies that have brought strong results. One of these companies is Green & Red Technologies (G&R), which runs the most extensive ad network in Bangladesh. Mr. Imam has been the firm’s Chairman since October 2009.
Achievements
In 2016, Mohammed Adnan Imam was conferred with the CIP designation by the Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment. It wasn’t the first time he gained this recognition, as he had previously been distinguished in 2013. Mr. Imam’s contributions to economic growth through private equity investment have helped several firms gain the financial resources needed to play a decisive role in society.
